Our club includes experienced dog trainers offering classes to the public. Our Beginning Pet Dog Training Class and Intermediate Pet Dog Training / Canine Good Citizenship Class, when available, are 7 weeks, cost $70, and emphasize basic good pet obedience. Our competition classes, when available, cater to the serious competitor. We welcome ALL dogs — mixed breeds, as well as purebred — in all of our classes, matches and activities!

Intermediate Pet Dog Training Class This class expands on what was learned in a beginning training class. Most of the lesson behaviors are based on the requirements of the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. You will learn how to teach your dog to pay attention to you and to reward your dog to encourage continued good behavior. Prerequisites: • NO aggression towards people or other dogs • Completion of a Beginning Pet Dog Training Class or   equivalent training level. • Bring proof of up-to-date Rabies vaccination or Titer. There are 6 weekly 1-hour lessons from 7:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday evenings. The 7th week is the optional CGC Test. Class size is limited to 12 dogs/instructor. The cost is $75/dog for non-members and $50 for members. PRE-ENROLLMENT IS REQUIRED! Please do NOT bring aggressive dogs! Dress for evening outdoor weather. The last class should be Monday, June 30, 2008. Optional CGC Test date should be the following week, Monday, July 7, 2008. Rain-outs could change these proposed dates. Monday, April 7, 2008 at 6:30 pm This class is underway and having lots of fun!	Positive & Clicker-Friendly Puppy Class Learn how to teach your puppy to be a good family pet and good neighbor. We concentrate on basic manners, handling and puppy obedience. We will assist you in dealing with common behavior issues such as jumping up, puppy play biting, chewing and housetraining. Puppy socialization is also a part of every session, both with people and with other puppies. — Any puppy from 8 weeks old to 4 1/2 month old. — Clickers are recommended, but not required. — ONLY positive reinforcement methods will be taught and used. There are 7 weekly 1-hour lessons from 6:30 to 7:30pm on Monday evenings. Class size is limited to 4 dogs per instructor/assistant. The cost is $70/dog for non-members, and $50/dog for members. PRE-ENROLLMENT IS REQUIRED! Please do NOT bring aggressive dogs! Some of the things we'll teach you how to train your dog: • Sit • Attention • Down • Settle • Come • Polite Walking • Target • Stand • Take itl • Leave it The first class is orientation WITHOUT your dog and may last 1.5 hours. Please bring something to sit on if you want to be comfortable. The field can be wet and/or cold sometimes. Dress for evening outdoor weather. Please bring your puppy on a 2, 4, or 6 foot leash for the rest of the classes. (NO retractable leashes.) The last class should be May 19, 2008, if there are no "rain-outs."
